Rocket Launch 1

We took our rocket out for it's first launch today. The first time we tried to launch, there was duct tape in the way. We had to cut the duct tape away from the rim of the bottle. Then, we went back out and it did awesome. We went a distance of 50 meters, and the rocket got an angle of 75 degrees!

  1. Once we got inside, we calculated how far it went upwards by taking the tangine of the angle, and multiplying that number by 50 meters, and our rocket soared at 186.6 meters! We were so proud of how well our rocket did. After the flight, the bottle got a little bit distorted, but we fixed it, and were ready to go for a distance trial, but we ran out of time.

  2. We are going to see if we have a better height or a better difference. I think we will do well because we have a very aerodynamic design. We don't see much we can improve on. There is one thing that we could fix though. We could try to make the top of the rocket more sturdy and stable. We don't want the rocket to get too dented, so we won't want to launch it that many times. It hit the ground very violently. The whole top of it was completely caved in.

  3. That is awesome to hear! Sounds like the test launch was a success. Can't wait to see it fly again tomorrow
